Credit Card Encryption
New York Cares cares about making your transactions with us secure. We use industry standard encryption and security protocols that makes it very difficult for anyone to intercept or otherwise gain control of your credit card information. Companies we work with in processing credit card transactions also use these highly sophisticated encryption methods and security protocols.
In addition, New York Cares tracks website visitor behavior using Google Analytics so we can continue to improve the experience for our volunteers. All of this data is completely anonymous. Details include:
- The Google Analytics features New York Cares has implemented is based on Display Advertising (e.g., Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration, or Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting).
- Visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ads Settings(link is external).
New York Cares will not facilitate the merging of personally-identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information previously collected from Display Advertising features that is based on the DoubleClick cookie unless you have robust notice of, and the user's prior affirmative (i.e., opt-in) consent to, that merger.
If you wish to hide all of your browsing behavior you can use Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on(link is external).
