Be a Good Neighbor

As a Good Neighbor Day America partner, New York Cares is joining a nationwide movement to inspire the Good Neighbor in every American through love, kindness and service.
Throughout the day you'll engage in different acts of kindness that support our NYC community, such as:
- Writing postcards to encourage neighbors to volunteer
- Painting rocks to spread little moments of surprise and joy
- Packing native plant seeds with handwritten notes of encouragement
Register for your act of kindness!
You only need to register once per time period that you complete an act of kindness in. One registration counts for all acts of kindness activities.
Registration is only required for those 18 years and older.
