Am I liable for the accuracy of the tax return? No - All New York Cares tax returns are quality reviewed by an experienced preparer at the tax site. It is then reviewed another time by the tax site manager before being submitted to the IRS.  Our community partners are ultimately responsible for the tax return accuracy, not volunteers.
