Meets pressing community needs by mobilizing caring New Yorkers in volunteer service.

National Volunteer Week

Inspiring, recognizing, and encouraging people to engage in their communities.

National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week, organized by our partner Points of Light, recognizes the impactful work that compassionate individuals accomplish in their communities. Over the course of the week, April 15-22, we will focus on the nearly 65,000 volunteers that serve New York City each year.

Spanning all five boroughs, it's impossible to scratch the surface of the impact volunteers have on our city. That won't stop us from trying. Volunteers provide a friendly face to lonely seniors, help low-income families claim money on their tax returns, and give teens the support they need to apply for college
