Meets pressing community needs by mobilizing caring New Yorkers in volunteer service.

National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Month 2019 Header

There’s more than one way to give voice to issues you care about. Some march, some post, and some volunteer. But activism isn’t an either/or. It’s about taking a holistic approach to change. Sparking conversation online around economic inequality is powerful, just like helping your neighbors complete their taxes.

Join us as we take things offline by addressing key issues impacting New Yorkers in all five boroughs.

National Volunteer Week (April 7–13) is a nationwide recognition event dedicated to all those who lend their time, talent, and voice to helping others.

Post-week, we'll move right into National Volunteer Month to continue sharing ways you can get out into your community this month (and beyond).
