Meets pressing community needs by mobilizing caring New Yorkers in volunteer service.

Because of the heat advisory for this weekend issued by NYC Emergency Management and the Health Department, select programming that may pose a risk to our volunteers and clients has been cancelled. Projects with partners who provide critical services will take place, but we encourage our volunteers to follow safety tips including drinking plenty of water and staying inside/out of the sun when possible. Please check your email for information on the status of specific projects. Thank you!

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens translates the Gospel of Jesus Christ into action by affirming the dignity and value of every person, especially the most vulnerable members of our diverse society. Catholic Charities develops effective responses to human need and joins with all people of good will in advocating for a social order that promotes justice and embraces human development.

They are currently seeking volunteers for their 11th Annual Kids Fun Day.

In addition, they are one of the largest faith-based provider of affordable housing in the country, with 3,600 units of housing, including 2,186 units of housing for low-income older adults, 1,068 units of family housing and 433 units of supportive housing for formerly homeless and individuals suffering mental illness or behavioral circumstances.
