Visit Chocolate Works with PS 253 Q

Join the students of PS 253 Q as the journey to the Rockville Center Chocolate Works Shop. The students will participate in a Chocolate 101 workshop wherein they learn about the history of chocolate and get a chance to make their own.

Transportation to and from the venue will be provided.
Please bring $18 if you wish to participate in the chocolate making and $5 for food or a bagged lunch.

PS 253 Q’s mission is to cultivate academic pride and civic responsibility, as their students are infused with the love of learning through exploration and explicit instruction that integrates mathematics, the arts, science and technology. Located in the Far Rockaway neighborhood of Queens, they are also home to a diverse population of 579 students from Pre-K to Grade 5. Their school is comprised of over 60% Hispanic students and over 30% Black students, with the remaining population being White, Asian, Pacific Islander, American Indian or Alaskan Native, and multi-racial. Within their student population, nearly 25% are students with disabilities and over 30% are English Language Learners.
