Unload and Stock Groceries at WSCAH Food Pantry

Assist the pantry manager with setting up the pantry for the day by preparing the space and stocking items at this client-choice food pantry. Volunteers will help bag produce, stock and organize dried and canned goods, and prepare the pantry to serve a variety of foods to clients. Additionally, volunteers may be asked to do some light lifting.

Established in 1979, West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH) helps individuals overcome hunger by promoting self-reliance. Its food pantry, located on the Upper West Side, is a customer-cooperative supermarket where clients choose their food and assist in operating the store. Workshops in cooking, nutrition, and exercise further WSCAH’s mission of empowering people to find solutions and live healthier lives. WSCAH also offers counseling to connect individuals with resources providing affordable health care, educational opportunities, child care, housing, and other services.
