Snacktivities with Henry Street Settlement

Snacktivities with Henry Street Settlement

Have fun becoming a fruit and vegetable architect with children ages 5-8, from Henry Street Settlement during this Tuesday night Snacktivities program. As a volunteer, you will encourage participation and offer ideas and assistance wherever is needed. Volunteers will assist with a variety of creative snack making to help educate these young chefs about the basics of nutrition and healthy food choices.

The Urban Family Center-Henry Street Settlement was founded in 1972 as the country's first apartment style temporary shelter with on-site social services. The center serves Manhattan's Lower East Side as a traditional residence for homeless families attempting to acquire permanent housing. The Center also offers programs and services to help families become rehoused as soon as possible and to begin acquiring skills to maintain their independence.
