Renovate A Harlem Education Space - Morning Shift

Renovate A Harlem Education Space - Morning Shift

Repair the World’s mission is to make volunteering a defining element of American Jewish life. We recognize that volunteering is critical to all social movements, and among the most valuable approaches to making social change. We transform communities through deep relationships with local non-profit organizations, meeting pressing community needs year-round. Our volunteers make a significant impact through meaningful relationships rooted in Jewish values, history, and learning.

WHAT: Volunteers will renovate an educational space with Repair the World and the Police Athletic League, a local Harlem after-school program for students. Volunteers will be painting classrooms and hallways, re-organizing program supplies, and building furniture, all to better enhance the space for students. Participants will be spending most of the time on their feet, and some will be asked to stand on ladders.

This project is generously made possible by the UJA Federation of NY.
