Pantry Distribution at Food First

Package and distribute bags of pantry goods to 200 clients of Food First, which also provides supportive housing for families living with HIV/AIDS. Food First is starting a new composting program in an effort to reduce waste and be more sustainable.

Volunteers should be prepared to:
•work on their feet for the duration of the project (3 hours)
•handle medium to heavy lifting (20-30 lbs)

Food First, Inc. is committed to enhancing the quality of life for disadvantaged people by taking a proactive role to ensure that they are provided with essential goods and services. Some of their program and services include individual and group counseling, recreational activities, lunch and dinner three days a week and holidays, educational workshops, crisis intervention. In addition, at Conover House, a congregate housing program funded by Human Resources Administration (H.A.S.A Division), Food First Inc. provides supportive housing to families living with HIV/AIDS.
