Pack Bags at a Food Pantry

Pack Bags at a Food Pantry

Pack bags of food items and toiletries for distribution. This project has been modified to support social distancing and best hygiene practices. You might also stock shelves and organize storage areas.

New Volunteer Friendly

The Campaign Against Hunger (TCAH), previous the Bed Stuy Campaign Against Hunger, was founded in 1998 as a small traditional food pantry operating out of a church basement; we are now the largest pantry in Brooklyn, providing the basic staples of a well-balanced diet to more than 12,000 unduplicated, low-income individuals a month. TCAH is unusual in allowing its clients to select fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and other staple items according to their preferences — much as they would in a supermarket. They also provide new clothing and toiletries to their clients.
