Pack and Distribute Food Bags to Seniors

Serve as a team leader for projects at the Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island. Volunteers will assist in packing the food bags and going in the van to deliver the packages directly to the seniors door.

Projects take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Team Leaders are expected to serve for at least 2 months at a time.

Volunteers are expected to be on their feet for the duration of the project and be able to lift the heavy package bags.

This project will follow all necessary hygiene and social distancing protocols.

The Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island (JCCGCI) is a community-based organization serving individuals and families in New York City with a wide range of social services, as well as capacity-building support to other community-based non-profit organizations throughout the city. It was founded in 1973 and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the frail elderly, the vocationally disadvantaged, underprivileged immigrants, and educationally at-risk youth.
