The New Utrecht branch of the Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) started out as the Free Library of the Town of Utrecht, founded by a literary club called the Winter Society in 1894. After joining BPL in 1901, the branch built its reputation as a vital resource in New Utrecht, gaining the continued support of stakeholders throughout the community. Today, the Library continues its pioneering role and offers a variety of youth and adult programs and technological and multilingual resources.
