Meets pressing community needs by mobilizing caring New Yorkers in volunteer service.

Because of the heat advisory for this weekend issued by NYC Emergency Management and the Health Department, select programming that may pose a risk to our volunteers and clients has been cancelled. Projects with partners who provide critical services will take place, but we encourage our volunteers to follow safety tips including drinking plenty of water and staying inside/out of the sun when possible. Mentoring with StreetWise Partners

StreetWise Partners is a non-profit organization with a mission to harness the mentoring resources of the private sector to reduce unemployment within disadvantaged communities of New York City and Washington, D.C.

They are currently seeking volunteer mentors who have an interest in social justice. Volunteers will participate one day a week and be able to commit to the length of the program at one of their corporate partner sites, which are located primarily in midtown Manhattan.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Volunteers must have 1-2 years of professional experience

WHERE:
Location varies, primarily in midtown Manhattan

WHEN:
One day per week based on volunteer’s availability: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
