Mentor Youth Interested In STEAM

Youth Design Center is a youth creative agency and innovation hub providing a gateway for young people to learn marketable hard skills in STEAM, access post-secondary education, achieve economic mobility, and engage in place-based community revitalization.

WHAT: Mentorship is a great way to guide youth to become the amazing STEAM industry professionals they can be. Youth Design Center is currently looking for mentors for their high school and college age participants.

Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Meet with Mentee at least once a month, through physical or virtual one-on-one meet up’s
- Have a strong understanding of Mentee’s goals and support them through that
- Encourage Mentee to think outside of themselves and use their gifts to engage in issues in their communities
- Communicate with YDC staff, including completing surveys, evaluations, and bi-monthly check in’s
- Commit to at least 1 year of mentoring

Mentors need to be 18+ currently in college studying something in the STEAM field or a working professional in the STEAM industry.
