Because of the heat advisory for this weekend issued by NYC Emergency Management and the Health Department, select programming that may pose a risk to our volunteers and clients has been cancelled. Projects with partners who provide critical services will take place, but we encourage our volunteers to follow safety tips including drinking plenty of water and staying inside/out of the sun when possible. Serve hot nutritious restaurant style lunches and engage in warm conversation with clients at this unique soup kitchen. Volunteers will set tables, serve food, wait and bus tables, and clean up while also engaging with clients,
• Be prepared to be on your feet for the duration of the project
• Be prepared to engage with the clients
• Be prepared to work as part of a small dynamic team

The Meatloaf Kitchen serves wholesome, freshly made meals each Saturday to anyone who comes through the doors. With an all-volunteer staff, the kitchen provides a welcoming place of respite for guests and offers vital social services to those in need.
