Established in 1982, St. John’s Bread and Life strives to assist individuals in need by combatting poverty and hunger. Through the Soup Kitchen at its facility in Bedford-Stuyvesant and its unique Mobile Soup Kitchen, Bread and Life serves over 2,000 meals to residents of Queens and Brooklyn every day. Bread and Life furthers its mission of helping people achieve self-sufficiency by providing a food pantry, job development, medical care, legal counseling, and other social services.
