Land Clean Up with Student Conservation Association

Student Conservation Association builds the next generation of conservation leaders and inspires lifelong stewardship of the environment and communities by engaging young people in hands-on service to the land. The organization is Currently in partnership with Bronx River Alliance to Restore Shoelace Section of Bronx River. The Bronx River Alliance serves as a coordinated voice for the river and works in harmonious partnership to protect, improve and restore the Bronx River corridor so that it can be a healthy ecological, recreational, educational and economic resource for the communities through which the river flows.

They are currently seeking volunteers to help restore the Bronx River at the Shoelace section with waterways and land clean-up. All project supplies and gloves will be provided.

REQUIREMENTS:
Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
