Kitchen Prep at New York Common Pantry

Assist the staff chef at New York Common Pantry to prepare nutritious and delicious meals for the pantry's Hot Meal Program. The Hot Meal Program serves more than 1,000 meals every week to anyone in need of nutritious prepared foods. Volunteers will be guided by a professional chef, but ideally should have some cooking skills. Tasks will include preparing ingredients, cleaning, and organizing kitchen storage spaces. Volunteers should:
• Be prepared to be on your feet for the duration of the project
• Be prepared to work as part of a small dynamic team
• Be prepared to undertake a variety of tasks in a busy kitchen such as peeling and cutting
