Judge a Debate with NYC Urban Debate League-MSQI

Join the New York City Urban Debate League & MSQI (Middle School Initiative Quality) to assist middle school students with their public speaking skills.

Volunteers will judge a district debate competition. Participants are middle school students from several area schools. Training and guidelines will be provided to volunteers at the start of the project. Breakfast and lunch is provided at each session.

The New York City Urban Debate League, founded in 2011, manages the city's free scholastic debate league for all middle schools and high schools. They host monthly tournaments on Saturdays, which rotate to different schools hosting each month, and engage about 250 students with volunteers as judges for the tournaments.
