Hurricane Sandy One Year Later: Clean up at Butler Manor

Volunteers will give much-needed attention to this Sandy-affected park. Located in Staten Island, Butler Manor Woods rarely receives volunteer groups to help revitalize the space. Volunteers will help the neighborhood recover and prepare for the busy summer season. Projects will include clearing debris from commonly-used park space, as well as trail restoration. This important work will allow the park to be safely used by Staten Island residents throughout the summer and fall.

Butler Manor Woods, located within Mount Loretto Unique Area, encompasses roughly 18 acres of wetlands. It is a remarkable parcel of land that truly complements and beatifies the incredible ecological diversity already found within Mount Loretto State Forest.
