Fidget Finder with Uptown Stories

Fidget Finder with Uptown Stories

Uptown Stories inspires kids to discover and develop their inner voices in a diverse community of writers. Based in upper Manhattan, they offer small-group writing workshops for children ages eight to fifteen, led by master teachers and professional authors. To ensure their workshops are accessible to all children, tuition is pay-what-you-can. Uptown Stories creates an exciting, challenging, and supportive community in which young authors thrive.

They are currently seeking a Fidget Finder, a volunteer who will help solicit donations of fidget, small artful objects and toys, as well as storytelling games that will help in their workshops with young authors. Uptown Stories instructors incorporate these objects into their lessons and activities to assist some students in thinking up their stories, poems, and comics.
