Explore The Internet With Older Adults

Digital Grandparents, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation committed to providing older adults with access to the wonders of computers and the Internet. Their programs seek to open up the world of Internet communication, social media, news and information, on-line shopping and games, photo-sharing and editing, and more to the growing segment of older adults who struggle with or wish to improve their skills with this new technology. They hope to help them enrich their lives by enabling them to connect with people and explore the world from their living room chairs.

WHAT: Volunteers need to have basic knowledge about how to use computers and the Internet. They will, with their students, explore websites of special interest to older adults. No specialized knowledge or skills are required! Kindness, patience and time are all that you need to possess. To see some of the great things volunteers do clients, visit the Digital Grandparents Facebook page @DigitalGrandparentsInc or check them out on Instagram @DigitalGrandparentsInc !

WHEN: Volunteers will work with an older citizen Saturdays from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: St. Agnes Branch of the NYC Public Library - 444 Amsterdam Ave. (corner of 81st Street).
