Empowering Women through English Conversation at AAFSC

Empower Women by developing language skills through English conversation with a special focus on new vocabulary, short stories and class discussions. Class consists of women from the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Women volunteers only, please. No bilingual ability necessary.

Arab-American Family Support Center (AAFSC) provides comprehensive social services for Arab-American immigrant families throughout New York City. Established in 1994, AAFSC has locations in Downtown Brooklyn and Long Island City. They offer ESOL and literacy workshops, citizenship classes, health care consulting, legal support, and other services to help clients adjust to a new culture and navigate American laws. AAFSC empowers recent immigrants to acclimate to the world around them and become active participants in their communities.
