Ecological City Workshops with Earth Celebrations

Earth Celebrations is a non-profit organization dedicated to generating ecological and social change through the arts. Since 1991, Earth Celebrations programs have mobilized communities to address climate change, waste management, water quality, river restoration, and the preservation of community gardens, parks, and a healthy urban environment.

They are currently seeking volunteers to engage on grassroots climate solutions through a series of ecological arts workshops creating visual arts works, giant paper mache puppets and spectacular costumes for the culminating Ecological City: Procession for Climate Solutions.

Earth Celebrations (EC) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1991. Its goal is to foster ecological awareness and revive the arts at the center of community life. Through its innovative arts projects, performances, exhibitions, and other programs, EC engages over 10,000 individuals, 200 community gardens, and 100 organizations every year. Its pioneering, community-based ecological programs help preserve the community gardens in the Lower East Side and throughout New York City.
