Distribute Food Bags to the Community - Shift 2 (Spanish)

Use your Spanish Skills to help West Side Campaign Against Hunger distribute food to community members.

Volunteers will distribute pre-packed bags of food to clients of West Side Campaign Against Hunger and ensure that customers in line are practicing safe social distancing. This is an outdoor project, and volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather. Volunteers should be prepared to be on their feet for the duration of the project. This project meets all current hygiene and social distancing requirements.

Established in 1979, West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH) helps individuals overcome hunger by promoting self-reliance. Its food pantry, located on the Upper West Side, is a customer-cooperative supermarket where clients choose their food and assist in operating the store. Workshops in cooking, nutrition, and exercise further WSCAH’s mission of empowering people to find solutions and live healthier lives. WSCAH also offers counseling to connect individuals with resources providing affordable health care, educational opportunities, child care, housing, and other services.
