You will not need to go to a physical location for this digital orientation. To participate, you will need a computer, internet access, and sound capability. Our webinar platform is Adobe Connect. Please check our minimum system requirements here:

If your system is not compatible, you may attend an in-person orientation session at one of our 35 sites across New York City.

To enter the session, go to before the start time. Please test out this link ahead of time to ensure you can access the room and have all necessary plug-ins downloaded.

Please note that you will need to sign in as a guest, entering your full first and last name when entering the digital meeting room. If you do not enter your full first and last name, your attendance will not be captured. Your New York Cares user name and password will not work on this page.

We create opportunities for tens of thousands of caring New Yorkers to give their time each year to make an impact on the issues that matter to them most. New York Cares responds to our city's most pressing needs by reaching out to social service agencies, schools, homeless shelters, and other deserving organizations, and mobilizing teams of volunteers to support the work of these Community Partners. Volunteers tutor children, work in food pantries and soup kitchens, provide free tax preparation, revitalize parks and gardens, and much more.
