Culinary Explorers at BronxWorks Willow Avenue

Empower students to discover their inner chef with two hours of creative cooking. The class will teach children from a transitional shelter in the Bronx, the secrets of easy-to-prepare, nutritious and tasty meals. No formal cooking experience is required.

BronxWorks is one of the largest social service agencies serving the Bronx; more than 37,500 people are affected by their work each year. Their mission is to help individuals and families improve their economic and social well-being. From toddlers to seniors, they feed, shelter, teach and support people throughout the community. BronxWorks focuses on immigrants, homeless individuals and families, people impacted by HIV/AIDS, and adults making the transition from welfare to work. BronxWorks operates 28 offices throughout the borough, and helps to maintain several family shelters.
