Computator at Uptown Stories

Computator at Uptown Stories

Uptown Stories inspires kids to discover and develop their inner voices in a diverse community of writers. Based in upper Manhattan, they offer small-group writing workshops for children ages eight to fifteen, led by master teachers and professional authors. To ensure their workshops are accessible to all children, tuition is pay-what-you-can. Uptown Stories creates an exciting, challenging, and supportive community in which young authors thrive.

They are currently seeking volunteers who are comfortable with networking technology, specifically the ability to work with non-consumer routers and WAPs (Wireless Access Points). They have Ubiquiti equipment (1 small router and 1 WAP), and as their Computator, volunteer(s) will help them periodically check, troubleshoot, and maintain it.

Location varies. Upper West Side, Harlem, Washington Heights or Inwood.
