Bedtime Stories at BronxWorks Jackson Avenue

Bedtime Stories at BronxWorks Jackson Avenue

Create a world of awe and wonder for K-6 grade children in a transitional shelter. Read in small groups or in pairs to make books a fun and enriching part of these kids’ lives. Conclude the evening by leading a themed craft activity.

BronxWorks is one of the largest social service agencies serving the Bronx; more than 37,500 people are affected by their work each year. Their mission is to help individuals and families improve their economic and social well-being. From toddlers to seniors, they feed, shelter, teach and support people throughout the community. BronxWorks focuses on immigrants, homeless individuals and families, people impacted by HIV/AIDS, and adults making the transition from welfare to work. BronxWorks operates 28 offices throughout the borough, and helps to maintain several family shelters.
