Become a Community Educator

The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

WHAT: Become a Community Educator - a public speaker who helps raise awareness, provides education and expands the reach of Alzheimer's Association programs in the community. Community Educators deliver Alzheimer’s Association Core Curriculum using prepared training materials on topics related to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias as well as information for individuals and families impacted by the disease.

REQUIREMENTS: Commitment to a 1-year term. Orientation for the role includes: online welcome, orientation self-study, virtual in-person training with local chapter staff. Observation/Shadowing. Background checks. Participate in initial and ongoing training about Alzheimer’s and related dementia, and the organization. Complete paperwork requirements of your volunteer role
