Be Volunteer Counselors with PALS Programs

Be Volunteer Counselors with PALS Programs

PALS Programs provides a place for young adults with Down syndrome and their peers to have fun, grow as individuals, and build transformative friendships. They also host one week-long summer camps at college campuses across the country where volunteer counselors are paired one-to-one with campers who have Down syndrome for a week of trips and activities.

They are currently seeking volunteer counselors to be paired one-to-one with Campers and spend the week on teams at college campuses as they build new friendships, explore new regions, and take part in dynamic programming. They want volunteers to be present, arrive with an open mind, bring their best dance moves, get to know their roommate, and have fun. Counselors have no out-of-pocket costs during the week, other than transportation to and from Camp, which they are also offering opportunities to cover. Applicants should be ready to be both challenged and inspired. Those with skills in photography and videography may apply as media volunteers.
