Assist with Supporting Homeless People with ACE Programs for the Homeless

The Association of Community Employment Programs for the Homeless (ACE) works with homeless men and women throughout New York City, providing job training, work experience and a lifetime support network to help their program participants achieve their goals and establish economic independence.

WHAT: Every month volunteers gather to work one on one with New Yorkers experiencing homelessness, providing individualized support with job search and résumé development, as well as conducting mock interviews to prepare them for what’s soon to come. Interview best practices and outlines are provided to volunteers and there is no need for interview experience.

WHEN: One Saturday every month from 11:30 am – 1 pm. This is an Ongoing Monthly Event; Starting Now

The Association of Community Employment Programs for the Homeless (ACE), founded in 1992, works with homeless men and women throughout New York City, providing job training, work experience and a lifetime support network to help their program participants achieve their goals and establish economic independence. Today, ACE serves more than 400 people each year with workforce development, Adult Basic Education and job readiness/life skills training in a vocational rehabilitation program, lifetime support services and opportunities for career growth in their aftercare program, and access to affordable housing.
