Ambassador with Xavier Mission at The Church of St. Francis Xavier

Join the Ambassador team and greet and care for the guests of St. Francis Xavier Welcome Table, New York City's largest weekly hot meal service.

Welcome Table serves more than 1500 hungry clients each Sunday, with staff and volunteer support. Ambassadors will greet guests, provide beverages for those waiting in line, assist new clients in finding resources within the hall, and assist elderly or infirm clients in carrying their trays. Additionally and most importantly, Ambassadors will provide welcome and conversation to Xavier customers, many of whom are experiencing chronic homelessness and/or food insecurity.

Volunteers should be
• older than 14
• comfortable initiating and participating in conversations with our guests.
