New York Cares is in the midst of a severe shortage of coat donations for our 25th Annual Coat Drive. To date, we've received only 20% of the 104,000 coats requested. The good news is that we have partners stepping up to collect coats.
Bank of America has generously donated 100 coats to the Coat Drive while simultaneously opening its Winter Village at Bryant Park as a public collection site through the end of the drive on February 7th. The special Coat Drive bin seen above is located on the southeast side of the pavilion. The easiest access is from West 40th Street, entering the park opposite the Bryant Park hotel and walking straight until you see the bin. The bin can be accessed 7am - 10pm.
In addition to helping keep New Yorkers warm this winter, Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park features ice skating, shopping, food, and drink. For more information, see www.wintervillage.org.
We need a lot of help this year and we only have until February 7th to make it happen. If you can't donate at Bryant Park, see the options below:
- Find a coat collection site and donate a coat today.
- Collect coats in your workplace or residential building.
- Purchase a coat from our Amazon or Target wish lists, and it will be shipped directly to our warehouse.
- Support the Coat Drive by texting 'COAT' to 41444 to donate $20, or make a contribution here.
