Our Communications team is looking for a creative and dynamic Design Intern who can work in a fast-paced environment and support our team’s mission to build awareness and increase engagement with our audiences including volunteers and donors. The ideal candidate has experience with both print production and design for social media and the web. Reporting to the Creative Lead, the Design Intern will work alongside the Marketing & Communications team to create graphics and design that excites our stakeholders. They will work in a supportive environment and help develop compelling visual communications for print and web that clearly speak to our target audiences and build a consistent brand. From creating presentations and social media posts to developing email templates to event design, office decor and much more, this position will help tell the story of New York Cares through visual communications. They will learn about working in a team and experience the marketing and communications operations of a citywide nonprofit.
This is an unpaid internship. 15–20 hours a week from September 2019 to December 2019 (fall semester). The schedule is flexible and volunteer/academic credit is offered.
