We are seeking an exemplary project manager with superb donor relations skills to join our Institutional Relations Department. The Corporate Service Manager will help run our volunteer service program for employees from sponsoring companies by co-managing over 40 accounts and overseeing several hundred volunteer projects from initial conception through close every year. Corporate Service engages up to 20,000 volunteers each year and plays an integral role in New York Cares’ strategies for funding and improving New York City for all. The Corporate Service Manager has the potential to grow into more of a fundraising role, serve on cross-departmental committees, participate in long term planning, and develop new skills.


  • Serve as the point of contact for sponsor companies to plan and execute their service activities, overseeing all project logistics.
  • Balance deadlines and communications with concurrent projects that range from individual volunteer programs to large scale volunteer initiatives.
  • Work cross-departmentally to ensure colleagues and other departments meet deadlines and deliver exceptional corporate service engagements.
  • Collaborate with program directors, officers, and managers regularly to coordinate corporate project planning, brainstorm program options in response to community need and solve problems.
  • Lead corporate volunteer groups on-site at corporate service engagements and be able to quickly identify and solve problems if they arise.
  • Align the preferences of our sponsoring companies with the needs of our community through written and verbal communication.
  • Work with multiple teammates who co-manage accounts and projects.
  • Improve New York City and the 400,000 New Yorkers we serve by engaging volunteers who come from New York City’s top companies.


  • You have 2-3 years of project, event, or account management experience.
  • You are a superb communicator: eloquence on the phone, via email, and in-person is a requirement.
  • You're highly independent yet a team player.
  • Accountability is your middle name.
  • You are a natural problem solver, who keeps calm in a storm.
  • You have exceptional organizational skills.
  • Occasional movement of materials up to 35 pounds as well as standing for stretches of time is required.
  • You’re able to occasionally work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • You have broad-based computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint; Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CSR trends or the NYC nonprofit community is a plus.
