Meets pressing community needs by mobilizing caring New Yorkers in volunteer service.

Group Volunteering

Improve your community by volunteering alongside friends, neighbors, co-workers, or an alumni group.

New York Cares Group Volunteers Planting Flowers

Whether you’re looking to volunteer with friends, alumni, neighbors, or regulars from your morning commute, volunteering as a group is a great way to improve your community and multiply your impact.

Group Friendly projects invite three or more people to easily sign up together under one Group Leader. This trained Group Leader learns how to manage his/her group and signs up for any group friendly designated projects that have available space. From painting murals in the community to helped kids with their homework or serving meals to the homeless – groups have the opportunity to give back through a variety of team-based activities. Browse our upcoming projects to see all you can do.
