NYC public school students and families have returned to in-person learning for the 2021-2022 school year. But children are still coping with the trauma, uncertainty, and learning loss left from the pandemic. New York Cares pledges to Stand with Students by providing much-needed school supplies and volunteer-powered programs in reading, math, art, fitness, and social emotional learning.
New Yorkers step up in times of uncertainty. Volunteers have distributed 49 million meals, made 82,000 calls to isolated New Yorkers, and served more than 301,000 hours since March 2020. Our work continues as long as it's needed.
