Our Expectations

As a Community Partner, you are expected to provide:

• Need: Present a project that is well organized, with clear expectations for volunteers, agency, staff and clients.


• Context: Offer volunteers an initial orientation to your agency, explaining the goals and mission of your agency.


• Staffing: Ensure that a staff member is present during all projects, providing good supervision and any necessary training.


• Understanding: Respect the breadth and limitations of New York Cares' mission and model.


• Evaluation: Tell us how the goals of the program are to be met and measured.
