Part 2: Volunteer Needs

There is no limit to the number of volunteer projects you can propose. Keep in mind the following:
  • New York Cares projects must be hands-on i.e. directly impacting clients or communities.
  • Projects cannot involve fundraising or administrative/clerical tasks.
  • The majority of our projects take place during weekday mornings before 9 a.m., evenings after 6 p.m., and weekend days or evenings. Daytime projects may be considered, depending upon the location and volunteer interest.
  • Projects must be suitable for teams of volunteers (approximately 5-20 people).
