Join New York Cares, get involved, and make our city the best it can be.
Each day New York Cares volunteers nourish the city's hungry, teach job skills to the unemployed, tutor students to help them pass the SAT, and collect tax dollars for low-income New Yorkers. What will you do to show you care?
Last year, New York Cares ran volunteer programs for 1,000 New York City nonprofits, city agencies, and public schools, reaching 400,000 New Yorkers in need. But there's much more to do – that's why we're asking all citizens of the Big Apple to be New Yorkers Who Care.
Look for our ads around the city this summer. Our friends Alec Baldwin, Whoopi Goldberg, Penny Marshall, and Jimmy Smits are helping spread the word throughout the five boroughs, raising awareness of New York Cares and encouraging New Yorkers to support our work.
Volunteers are also getting in on the act. You'll see Charity Diaz, David Halloran, JJ Jackson, Matthew Pietras, and Jai Singh in our digital short in taxis, elevators, and other small screens around town. David Bradley and 89 Edit helped us create this beautiful piece.
