Coat Drive
For nearly 40 winters, the New York Cares Coat Drive has done more than keep New Yorkers warm. It’s brought our city together.
This year, we’re back to collect and distribute thousands of warm coats while fueling programs that bring companionship, dignity, and hope to neighbors facing hardship and isolation.
Spread warmth
Start a collection
Mobilize your friends, family, and coworkers to start your coat collection. All it takes is a poster and a box prominently placed to help make sure someone's winter is a little bit warmer.
Support the drive
This winter, just $25 keeps 10 New Yorkers warm and provides essential programs that help break the cycle of poverty. Every dollar counts.
Drop off a coat
Browse our drop off map to view locations near you collecting new and gently-used coats.
